HERA United has signed Joëlle de Bondt. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has agreed a one-year contract and joins from ADO Den Haag. She will play for the Amsterdam club in the Eerste Divisie Vrouwen (Women’s First Division) from next season.
De Bondt (20 October 1996, Groot-Ammers) began playing football at v.v. Groot-Ammers. At the age of fifteen she made her first-team debut for SteDoCo, where she played until 2014. She then moved to DTS Ede, where she remained for eleven seasons. During that time she developed from a central defender into a midfielder and won three national titles, most recently as captain in May 2025. In 2025 she signed for ADO Den Haag. At HERA United she takes the next step in her career.
Technical Director Mark Coonen on the arrival of De Bondt:
“Joëlle is a true team player with a wealth of experience. Her versatility as a number 6 and central defender, combined with her leadership and winning mentality, makes her a major asset for HERA United. We look forward to what she will add to our ambitions.”
Joëlle de Bondt:
“It would be wonderful to play for HERA. The way the club commits to women’s football and has a clear vision that suits me, both on and off the pitch, really appeals to me. On top of that, I find the involvement of the fans and the connection within the club very special. I’m looking forward to helping build something there!”
