HERA United have reached an agreement with Jade Linthorst and Eline Oudejans on contracts that will see both players join the Amsterdam-based club. Linthorst has signed a deal until the end of the current season, while Oudejans has committed for one and a half years, until 30 June 2027. Both forwards make the move from Sparta Rotterdam.
Oudejans is 19 years old (born on 11 December 2006) and hails from Oostvoorne in South Holland. The forward has dreamed of becoming a professional footballer her entire life and has been selected several times for Dutch youth national teams. Last season, she made the move from Feyenoord’s youth academy, where she played for six years, to Sparta Rotterdam. Last week, Oudejans scored against HERA United in the KNVB Cup match, forcing the game into extra time.
Eline Oudejans said: “This is a dream come true. I wanted so badly to become a professional footballer, and now it has happened. I think I will find myself in a very positive environment at HERA United. I already really enjoyed playing against them last week. I believe I can provide an extra attacking impulse for the team.”
Jade Linthorst was born on 20 June 2005 in Amstelveen. As a young girl, she started out in athletics but swapped her spikes for football boots at the age of ten when she joined Legmeervogels, her first club. In the 2023–2024 season, the striker joined Sparta Rotterdam. Just one week ago, she featured for Sparta in the KNVB Cup quarter-final against HERA United, where she came on after ninety minutes to replace Eline Oudejans.
Linthorst commented: “I’m really excited. I attended HERA United’s very first match earlier this season because I think it’s such a great concept — a club exclusively for women. I loved playing against HERA United last week, and the fact that I now get to play for this club myself is amazing. I’m a striker, but I can play in all three attacking positions. I hope to bring my positive energy to the team, and I hope for a ton of goals for HERA United!”
Technical advisor Mark Coonen added:“Jade is a player who can provide more variation and depth in our attack, while also continuing to develop. In time, she can grow into a regular member of our squad. We clearly see her added value and growth potential.
Eline scored Sparta’s goal against us, which highlights her goalscoring ability. In addition to her finishing, Eline is strong in possession and can be of great value within our attacking structure. She fits well with the playing philosophy and the level we aim to achieve.”
