The 19-year-old goalkeeper has signed a one-year deal, joins from Excelsior Rotterdam and will play for the Amsterdam club in the Eerste Divisie from next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frankena (14 October 2006) came up through amateur football. She spent eight years in the youth ranks of SCH \u201944, followed by a season with PVCV and a season with Generation One (TOG) in Amsterdam. In the professional game she came through the youth academies of Jong Feyenoord and Jong Utrecht. In February 2025 she signed her first contract with Excelsior Rotterdam, where she played in the Eredivisie. At HERA United she takes the next step in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technical Advisor Mark Coonen on Frankena\u2019s arrival:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cSophie has shown over the past few years what she is capable of at Excelsior. With her qualities, mentality and potential, she fits perfectly within our ambitions. We think it is important to have several competitive goalkeepers in the squad, so that everyone pushes each other to a higher level.
