Heij began playing football at the local club Bergambacht, where she grew up. Since 2021, she has been part of the Feyenoord youth academy, where she completed her entire youth development. In 2023, she made her debut for Feyenoord’s first team and went on to make 12 appearances. That same year, she also represented the Netherlands U19 national team at the European Championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
